The Yin and Yang of Social Cognition

Getting to New Haven

  1. Flights/Airports.   There are a variety of airports you could fly into.  We recommend Hartford (BDL) which is a 45 minute drive from New Haven.  Other options:  New York - La Guardia (80 minutes), New York - JFK (90 minutes), Providence (80 minutes),or New Haven - Tweed (5 minutes - expensive!).

  2. Getting from airport to New Haven.   From Hartford, La Guardia, or JFK we recommend  Connecticut Limo if you do not want to rent a car.   If you are travelling in a group, you are likely to spend the same or less renting a car compared to taking the Limo.  From Tweed, take a cab.  From Providence you will have to rent a car.

  3. Renting carsYou can do this trip without renting a car.  The conference events are in downtown New Haven or easily accessible with a short cab ride.  Trips to New York City can be made on the Metro ($22-28 round trip).   If you would like to explore the area or have extra flexibility, we recommend renting a car

Accomodations in New Haven

  1. Fairfield Inn.  (400 Sargent Street, New Haven, 06510; 203-562-1111)  We have reserved a block of rooms in this hotel.  Reserve them by mentioning the "Yale Department of Psychology."  The disadvantage of this hotel is that it is just outside of the downtown area and not within walking distance to the conference.   Staying here will require a short drive or a cab ride to the conference.
